I've always felt that an author of any medium has a responsibility to say something. It is no easy task to send a message
and have it be entertaining but that is a writers gift. The ability to meld or mash up to create something new, beautiful
and meaningful. It's an invisible orchestra at the deepest levels of a story that you can see but only indirectly via emotions,
characters, setting, dialogue, etc.
Theme is the meaning or concept we are left with after reading a piece of fiction. Theme is the central idea of a piece
which runs through the entire story and unifies it as a whole.
In some cases a story's theme is a prominent element and somewhat unmistakable. In some pieces of fiction, however, the
theme is more elusive.
